I finally spent money in public for the first time since March 14th. Had a conversation in person with someone other than my wife or son. If the state would let me buy Claritin D more than 15 days at a time then I would have stayed in still. I've driven my car and my work car once each to keep the batteries from taking a dump. Other than that walks in the neighborhood with my family or time at the park kicking around a ball to get my boy some exercise. Feels a lot like my two months in Germany in the winter but with better weather and a few less interactions.

My old 8mm Mauser really seems to want to separate my shoulder from the rest of my body. :laughing

Still has the old iron butt on it, no mods, no comforts.

Hmm, I find these have softer recoil than the Lee Enfield. I have a Yugo M48 and a Waffenamt marked Russian capture K98. I much preferred firing these than the Lee Enfield (both have just the steel buttplates).

Being English that always amused me; I think it's just due to my frame construction. Read "a bit skinny"; in other words I must be a wimp, because thousands of Tommys were skinnier than me.

Whatever that means
Over the weekend I got back into baking bread. made a couple of loaves and ran outta flour. I tried getting more form the market across the street but their shelf was empty.

I started printing a bunch of face mask earloop stress relievers to donate.

Also got played with the VR for a while. Made me feel like I was outside in the real world. Shooting people in the face :laughing.

The thing to remember is that ex's are ex's for a reason, lest we forget during lean times. :afm199 :laughing

Any port in a storm, brotha. Any port in a storm. :laughing

Sometimes that price is mighty high for the short term benefit. :twofinger :laughing

:laughing:laughing

Thanks, gentlemen. To be fair, she lives in San Francisco, so not like there was any possibility of "what you doin? Come thru." activity, throwing Covid protocol to the winds. We were just chatting.

That post was mostly in jest. I'm on good terms with her and most of my exes. (Not that I often talk to any of them.)

I'm lucky enough to be able to work my 40-48 hours/week from the comfort of my kitchen table, which has been really nice!

I've been catching up on media (Movies, TV, books) that I just haven't felt like I had time to. I'm part of two Dungeons and Dragons campaigns that both met up online via Roll20 last weekend, which was awesome! I hope we can keep the momentum up there.

I haven't been riding, except to pick up groceries (since my motorcycle is my only vehicle). I don't want to get injured and put more stress on an emergency room at the moment. I'm also bummed that the rest of my ski season got cancelled... I was supposed to be at Jackson Hole and Big Sky over the last week in March :cry

Dating life hasn't been easy, but I've met a few people on Hinge and I've enjoyed a few Zoom dates, so it hasn't been so bad.

Overall it's going about as well as could be expected!

I'm pretty much exactly where you are, brotha. With my situation.

Although I should do more on the distance dating as you have. Haven't done much with that. Although many friends have told me it's been a good thing for them.
