Hostess with the Mostess

Yeah, they changed the recipe to extend shelf life so they could ship them, since they no longer have a bazillion regional bakeries.

Zingers don't taste the same either.

OTOH, a medicore Twinkie is better than no Twinkie at all.

Ive eaten plenty of junk but I've never had a twinkie, not that I can remember.
Are kids still getting fatter? I'd have guessed the market for fake food would be on the decline.

Let me reiterate-when you get home drunk don't microwave a twinkie before you eat it. That fucking cream filling it like lava-I had more blisters in my mouth than a hooker during fleet week.

I love Da Whores
Here I thought the Thread title referred to the old TV sitcom, Topper. :afm199

the scab twinkies are smaller and don't taste the same :x

So a little girl is standing next to her dad in a barber chair, while eating a snack cake. The barber says, watch out you don't get hair on your Twinkie. Little girl says, my mom said I would when I grow up.

Off Topic but just got back from Canada and had a box of May West snack cakes from Vachon. Better than anything Hostess or Little Debbie makes.

Hostess’s failure was compounded by having six CEO’s in 8 years who had no experience in the bread or cake baking industry, and despite their financial woes, the company’s CEO got a 300% salary increase from $750,000 to $2,250,000, and other top executives received raises worth hundreds-of-thousands of dollars; all while the company was struggling. Instead of acknowledging the lack of competent leadership and exorbitant executive salaries as contributing to the company’s decision to close its doors, CEO Gregory Rayburn issued a statement saying, “We deeply regret the necessity of today’s decision, but we do not have the financial resources to weather an extended nationwide strike.” However, Rayburn and Hostess management claimed the strike would be responsible for closing plants even before there was a strike, and they had made plans to close plants whether or not workers accepted the Draconian wage and benefit cuts the company offered, or if they went on strike.

Essentially, this:

Anyway, that was old news. Who cares if they've turned it around if the jobs they offer are shit? Can't read the article, are there stock options or profit sharing for the employees involved?
