Just learned of this forum from Motopia when I asked about consigning my retired commute bike. Guess I've got a 30-day wait before I can post it for sale. Looks like some good, well motivated folks here.
My background - 1st bike (1970) was a '66 Norton Atlas, from which I learned about valve seat metallurgy and other wonders of British engineering know-how. 2nd (1980) was a CX500 (water cooled, no chains, no spokes) - my commute bike (Oakland to Marin) for three years, replaced by a new 1983 V45 Sabre, which I commuted on until I went independent (no commute) in 1999. I put it away then, anticipating getting back on it, but life intervened. Hoping someone else will enjoy it as much as I, as my riding days, sadly, are over.
