Hello From Reno, NV--yeah Reno, but . . .

Hello all. I now live in Reno, NV as well as Auburn, CA. But I am from the SF Bay area. Born in SF and lived in that area most of my life. All west Bay. I retired from the C&C of SF five years ago. 34 years as an Emergency Radio Systems Technician.

I have lived in (in order):

Daly City.
San Mateo.
Belmont.
Millbrare.
South San Francisco.

Now Auburn, CA, Reno, NV, & Cold Springs Valley, NV

I have been riding for more than 50 years.

I now own nine motorcycles (kept at my three different houses, 8 garages total). A few bikes at each house. Other house also in the Reno area, about 16 miles from here in CSV. I almost always ride electric between the three houses.

But I have been riding my oldest ICE bike a lot lately, a 1971 BMW R75/5 which I purchased new in 1971. It's set up for hot weather, no fairing or anything. I like my 2013 Triumph Trophy SE the best for very cold winter weather sometimes here in Reno. I have ridden in the 20's a few times.

But I mainly ride my two Electric Bikes, a 2017 Zero SR with Power Tank and a 2017 DS 6.5. I am totally hooked on electric. I also own a 2018 Tesla Model 3. I am done buying gas anything! But I have enough of them to last the rest of my life. Even my newest lawn mower is electric!

I am now considering my tenth bike, this one. Looks like I may have to make a trip to Mt. View to buy it.

Yeah, I have the motorcycle disease quite badly! Can there be enough?

The bikes I now own and ride:

1971 Black BMW R75/5
1984 Red Yamaha Venture
2002 Yel Suzuki DR200SE
2013 Blue Triumph Trophy SE
2016 Org/Blk Kawasaki Versys 650 LT
2016 Org/Blk Moto Guzzi Stelvio
2017 Org Zero DS ZF 6.5
2017 Red Zero SR ZF13 w/ Pwr Tank
2017 Blk/Gold HD Road Glide Ultra

I pass through Reno occasionally, because I own 46 acres of desert east of Lovelock NV. If you're around, maybe I'll stop by one of these days.

Ride by Autozone 825 Roberta Ln Sparks, NV 89431 and talk to the “old guy” that lives where he can see California from his porch. He likes riding to Quincy or Downieville for breakfast. I may be there next weekend to rotate some tires on 49. Welcome

Welcome and I think I understand.
My ICE bikes are being neglected because the Altas are so much fun and negligence of maintenance doesn’t really matter.

Sorry that I have been ignoring this forum for a while. But I think you guys will understand well--I have my shinny new 10th motorcycle, the most fun thing I have ever had between my legs!

It's still foggy and cold in Daly City

Welcome to barf!
455 Hillside Blvd was where I lived until I was around 8 years old. If you want sunny warm weather there, just wait for December!

Wait. It is still 2019, me thinks. You have a 2020 moto? Someone is twisting the truth. But who?
Do you have a portal?

Coyote Cafe in Downieville? I have ridden there many times over the years.

Same for Quincy since the place in GreenVille moved there just a few months ago.

Or if you're going to stay on your 46 acres for a while, I can come out there and visit you. I am always looking for a place to ride to. But that sounds more like a Harley Ride--or if you're on an unpaved road, more of a Motor Guzzi Stelvio ride. Yeah, it can make a little sense to own ten motorcycles.:laughing

What part of NV? I can see CA from my pouch at this house in Reno (up on a hill at an elevation of 5K') as well as my other house in Cold Springs Valley (about a half mile from CA) also at 5K', but not on a hilltop.

And also from my house in Auburn, as that is in CA!

Anyway, that Auto zone is near Pyramid Way, not far from here. What's the guy's name and what does he ride?

Right down the street from my office.

Long drive to get a bike..!
But I left for Mountain View from my Auburn place. And I had the bike shipped to Auburn. Since then, I have ridden it to Reno twice and I will ride it back to Auburn later this week or early next week.

I need one 15 minute recharge half way to make it, but I often get two ten minute charges at different places so I can go any speed I want up the hills.

The 25KW CCS charging is nice. There are six DC CCS fast chargers between here and Auburn, evenly spaced out.
