Hawthorne Rally 2010 Photo Thread

Let's post 'em up! Some have already made their way onto FB and the group ride thread. Show us what you got!

I mounted my camera on the handlebars and tried to take shots at opportune moments - much more difficult than I'd anticipated.

Riding up Friday following my late departure, another run up Jesus Maria.

Eventually I got to Ebbets Pass.

Riding down, the sky began to look threatening.

Definitely foreboding.

Before I got to the bottom I had to stop and put away the camera and make things as waterproof as possible. It turned into one hell of a storm. arty

On Saturday we got together with some of the usual suspects to go play on 120 between Lee Vining and Benton.

I followed Steve (Planegray) for a run through the whoops and back towards Lee Vining.

Fun stuff, followed by a great lunch at the Whoa Nellie Deli. :thumbup

we had the pleasure of Louemc's company and local knowledge. We picked him up in Copperopolis and he joined as far as Walker's BBQ then went home. Sitting at a table with 3 fgt mods and Capt'n Horny would probably be more than most could handle in a day :rofl

Anyway for the doubters, this guy is real and very much for real. Thanks for the great roads Lou!!! :love

It was like entering Hell's furnace coming down off the mountain Sunday. The man at the gas station let us hang out in the cooler.

I left my camera back in Livermore and I'm down in Arroyo Grande for a few days before GP. Did I mention it's only in the 60's here? God it's like winter compared to Hawthorne or Sonora!

After leaving the Libmo morning Rally point, I took off for hwy 4.

I went 120 to 108 and took some back roads up to 4.

First stop on Parrots Ferry
