RANT: Hating The "SUNDAY-MONDAY-MOTORCYCLE-FUCK"!!

just had to rant about the fact that if you hose the bike on saturday, it's usually TUESDAY before you can get parts (salvage yards, and most parts places are closed sunday AND monday)

I HATE THAT FUCKING SHIT!!!!!

sitting here now with a rack of carbs that fell off the fucking jig while setting the float level, and bent the butterfly shaft, AND the linkage (so I'm fucked, and need a replacement set of RARE AS FUCK carbs)

so now I need a new set of carbs, and if any of the 3 salvage yards were OPEN TODAY, I could fucking fix the fucking thing, and wouldn't be stranded, cuz thats the last working piece of transportation machinery I own :mad

unless someone here has a 1984-1999 virago 1000/1100 parts bike laying around somewhere, and would part with the carbs.

sometimes I wonder why I don't just give up on cars and bikes altogether and take up something less frustrating,........like knitting, or making furniture.

I agree! I hate that motorcycle shops have not moved even into the twentieth century, let alone the twentyfirst century as to hours and days.

looked in the yellow pages, and did an internet search, but all I found was K&L supply co.
(motorcycle lifts, and shop stuff)

you have to find a dealer,
evolution suspension (uktech1) is one and they are in sj and they should have it,
only some stuff is listed on the online site, there is alot more stuff in the catalog.

im pretty sure you can just have someone order it for you and go over there and pick it up.

and robert is a great guy over at evolution, but he's not exactly set up for this situation.

the hitachi carbs on a virago have been out of production for well over 10 years, and parts are extremely hard to come by. hell I get three e-mails a months from other rago owners asking me if I know where to get replacement parts, and I have a great link list, BUT,.....

the linkage, and butterflys are the one part in the carb assembly I could never locate a source for, other than cruising salvage yards (which I wish were open on MONDAYS!! &%$@!! :mad

but I really appreciate my cycling brothers and sisters lending advice and help in situations like this, and it's one of the BEST reasons for hanging around this forum.
