I just wanted to say thank you to BARF, thesteveco, and all the moderators, contributors, and the rest of the motorcycling community here on this forum.

this is an incredible resource, and better than that, some of the best laughs I have had all year, were following some crazy thread on this forum, so to have an information center, and entertainment all in one place, is just really cool.

I consider myself fortunate to live here, ride a motorcycle, and be a part of motorcycling in the bay area, and believe it or not, to have gotten to know some of you all, even if it was just in typeface.

Dear BARF,

I want to thank you for the good times we've had this past year. Without you, I'd probably be another squid at starbucks in a t-shirt and nikes riding while you looked on and laughed. I would have thought that the Icon vest might have been a good investment and sufficient protection against the road. I would have considered a modern 600 superbike a decent beginner's bike, for it isn't even a liter. My car had 1.8 liters, so how bad could one third of that be?

I want to thank you for reminding me time and time again that an interesting or humorous post has already possibly already appeared in a previous post six months ago. I also want to say thanks for reminding me to change my headlight fluid in order to correct any sort of engine problems I might be having.

I want to thank you guys reminding me that cruisers are bikes too; even if most can't lean worth a darn, they consider leather tassles as "cool" no matter where they are, and that chaps (which we will not call asslesss because that would be redundant), a leather vest, a skullcap, and a beard are considered in riding gear.

Thank you for the constant daily life commentaries such as Pho is Pho King delicious, and that us asians are damned if we ever step out of line to do something like throw up the peace sign, strike a superhero pose, lip sync random songs or make the prices of houses go up.

And I want to thank you for this.

happy new year!! I woke up hungover with rain hitting me in the face as I slept on my couch next to an open window. The wind also fucked up one of my sattelite dishes. This years off to a great start!
