Happy Halloween - Skeleton on a sportbike

Moderators, please leave in "general" until November 1.

This is meant to be fun and learn a small amount from. It is probably quite a bit different of a post then we normally have on BARF.

To the best of my knowledge this might be a BARF first. I have never seen a photo of a skeleton put into racing leathers and then posed on a sport bike!

Lets begin this creepy tale:

So Halloween is here and this guy calls me up to do a photo shoot. He wanted me to pose standing and sitting on a motorcycle. He said he needed a “real rider” and since I kissed the front of a Grey Hound Bus back in the late 70's I fit the part. Damn driver drifted into my lane, he was distracted by talking on his CB radio. Off to Hades I went.

Now to the photo shoot. This guy gets me suited up in some stinky old Dainese leathers that are like 3 sizes too big for me. I really have a better figure then this suit shows. He wanted to promote motorcycle safety and we start with this shot. Always look in the road for a head, well I think he meant far a head, but who am I to interfere with his creative genius and shit.

Then I noticed and asked the photographer who had this BARF wristband hung on their brake reservoir? Those things were popular back in the 70's, but wow, now you found a new use for them. I forgot to bring my eyes but what I could read said Bay Area Riders Federation. That's cool shit, you know, exploring strange new places, hell you might even stumble upon Hawthorne one of these days.

Then he wanted me to put on a back protector to show the “intimate relationship” it has with your back. At least it covers my bony @rss.

And he of course wanted to remind everyone off the dangers of crossing the double yellow. I know secretly it's a mini-death each time it happens!

Then we moved on to some rider positioning pics from several different angles. He also wanted to remind riders about safety when riding down rail road tracks the wrong way and at night. You all think you have immigration problems come over to my world of Hades, it seems everyone coming in is from the Bay Area and died from being run over by a train, sometimes several people a day. And they don't always arrive at the same time, first a leg might pop through, perhaps both arms, then the brain, and finally the poor family cant take it any more and pull the plug, and the rest of them shows up. What is it with you people, don't you know how to jump out of the way?

Final look of astonishment just before a train hits you.

Proper coronering body position. VERY important.

Then we moved on to the poser shots. "Oh god help me", was all I could think.

Sitting on the bike pose.

Standing in front of the bike pose.

Now it gets really bad, the one that just wants to make me throw up, the sitting and leaning against the bike pose.

At this point I could hardly take it any more. The humping of the bike pose

The feeling of the tire pose.

And the worst of all, the "canyonrat" pose. I'd like to call it a total gay pose, but I know you breathers just hate that term. To us in Hades it just means "stupid". We don't even have “whowho's" on our bodies in Hades. We are attracted to another based on someones bone structure, or good teeth. There's none of that orientation or skin color problem here, unless you call someone an “over-biter”. Oh my, then people start calling your boss to get you fired, you get threats in the mail, and people start looking at you like your a rotting infested rat corpse. When you get here, just remember to NEVER use that word and you'll be fine.

Last shot is an action shot and my favorite. The Santa Cruz Vampires Naked Ride shot!

So after the shoot we went for lunch.

Me have eating.

And the traditional picture of the food.

So remember on the most hallow of days, ride safe and keep your head about you!

Thanks for the positive kudos! This style of writing was a bit of a risk and I kinda thought people would like at least one of this photos.

Any way, off to scare the little children!

Definitely a cool shoot.

I think I ran into you once at BCraft in Rohnert Park. Bike looked familiar, and I remember the sticker. :thumbup
