new goal: get good enough at riding my fixxer600 that it just up and quits at me.

hopefully i'll have saved a few years worth of tax returns, bonuses, and kidney donation money by then.....

on second thought, hopefully it doesnt simply blow up on me sometime in the next few years.

Haha...it's still difficult to find a new one anyway. I have seen one at the dealership (already sold) but haven't been able to test ride one yet.

not sure if i'll be ready for the powah in a year.

gonna have to ride enough that im confident i dont do stupid shit first. already started on a stupid powerful bike, i feel like i should master riding it before jumping on to a newer more powerful one

I only watched the part where he is raving about cruise control, then gets on a busy road to ride hands free and talk into a camera.

Yeah, that's a guy I want motorcycle advice from.

I think I changed my mind about the S1000R. It's equal parts capable track vehicle with handlebars and totally unchained hoon machine.

Still prefer the S1000RR though for its ermahgerd powah

According to that vid he says that actually the R surprisingly feels more ermagerd than the RR though.

Giz worthy bike indeed! :)
The better question is how come the Europeans are and have always been so much better at motojurnalism.
Why can't we have a US motomag/Youtube channel thats so funny and well made [read passionate] as so many from "over there".
Closest thing is motogeo's channel. And hes a brit transplant to US too!

This bike's growing on me. A little less uniqueness than a Tuono, but a bit more power and more refined. Wonder if it gives off much engine heat.

The reviewer got one thing right, it looks way better in white than in the other colors, especially in person.

What makes it less unique than a Tuono? The looks, or that is made by BMW instead of Aprillia? Something more intangible?

Lack of V4 sweetness, and it's not as pretty (tank on back... they're both meh up front, IMO).

Don't forget the range. Tuono's sucks although the latest MY does have a larger fuel tank.
