Grrrr bike won't start... help please!

So I finally got my F4i but it was transported in an open trailer in freezing conditions for 12hrs and is having issues starting. It cranks fine but won't turn over. I tried the suggestions in the manual but none of 'em work, though it was basically making sure the engine isn't flooded... Anyone have any advice? :(

if it was transported by a trucking company they might have drained the gas, so check that first. check the simple stuff first, kill switch: on, battery voltage: good, etc..... hard to say what the problem could be, many things can cause this. i assume it was running before it was transported?

It was transported by the seller and he didn't drain the gas, he drove it right onto the trailer.

Kill switch is on, battery is hooked up to my portable jumper (fully charged) since it was draining from trying to start it.

:(

Sometimes it's the simplest things. Is the gas switch set ON? It was probably OFF for transport.

No I checked most of the simple stuff... I'm going to go tinkle with the power comm and make sure maybe it's not running too lean since it came up about 4000+ ft in altitude.

It's an FI bike, so there's no petcock.

Kill switch is on

There's your problem right there. :p

Seriously, when you turn the key on, do you hear the fuel pump priming? You should hear that first.

i'm sorry i can't really help you! as i said, it can be many things. a sticking kickstand switch, a bad tip-over sensor, bad kill switch, a weak battery etc....

Oh, dear, is this a bike that was bought unseen or something like that?

As posted above, double check the stupid/simple things. One time I almost burned up a starter and drained a battery trying to get a machine with the killswitch on to start. It may be worth reviewing whatever the proceedure is to reset to tipover sensor as well as check (as mentioned above) the kickstand switch.

So, you turn it on and hear the fuel pump?

Have you opened the tank and verified that there is fuel in there? Pinched fuel line?

When you turn over the motor, does the muffler smell like unburnt gas?

Both leads to the battery are tight?

Fuses?

No, the bike started fine before transport.

Yes I turn it on and hear the fuel pump.

I verified there's plenty of fuel in the tank.

The muffler doesn't smell like unburnt gas, it really doesn't smell like anything at all.

Both leads are tight, I checked that when I hooked up my jumper.

I haven't checked the fuses but I didn't think I needed to cuz it's cranking and everything seems to be in working order... but I'll check when I go back down. I just downloaded the software for the power comm.
