Just so I can provide some erudite commentary I will provide an update here on the guidelines and a proposal provided to the CMSP.
As of January 1 the CHP will have the legal charge to revisit the Guidelines. There are going to work with the CMSP Advisory Committee to refresh/ update the proposed Guidelines that will then need to be blessed by Commissioner Farrow to be put back in place. My guess is August or September, but knowing the CHP they could push for Motorcycle Awareness month (May), which would rock.
We will have a meeting in January/early Feb. to start this process. Once the Guidelines work there way to approval it looks like my proposal to create an online educational tool on Lane Splitting can be approved along with my proposal to add a lane splitting component to the CMSP intermediate class. This was part of this
Action that barfers helped me create 9 different proposals to the CHP.
The posters, which were based on DataDan 5 different ways 1Rider Thread are in the works! I will get to review those ideas soon. They already have 14 concepts in the works. Barf was able to come up with 9 of the 13 proposals provided and 2 of the 3 that are moving forward now.
Some of the others are being pushed to next year, but look like they will move forward as well. Due to the July 1 push to spend the money some were just to complicated to get done fast.
