I got a ticket for being in the carpool lane in my car. I was wrong I admit. The officer wrote up my car as a Vibe when my car is an Aztek can I get out of the ticket based on this technicality. If not, not a big deal I will pay it. Please let me know. You can PM with any advise.

also that's considered a typo, and they will just make the correction when you bring it up in court, most times the judge will thank you :|
to the best of my knowledge carpool/HOV lane violations are not considered a "points violation", so just pay it, except they get pricey, $250+
I got nailed for an HOV violation on lawrence expwy one day on the way to work, and I payed it, figuring my insurance would then go up, but I found out it was a no point violation, except it was $275 with all the court fees and shit.

I spent more than ten years in carpools heading into Silicon Valley and I was always happy whenever a carpool cheater got caught. I have no sympathy for anybody who uses the carpool lane when they shouldn't and then gets a ticket for it. Serves them right.
To the original poster, if they got your drivers license number right and the license plate, there's no way out of it. Pay the fine and stay out of the carpool lane in the future.

Just pay it dude- if the court finds out what you are really driving- they'll add the "Ugly Fee" to the fine...
