Check Facebook to see if other racers from Northern California are going. They would also have gearing tips because they have raced there before though the layout may be slightly different.

wondering how likely I am to yardsale myself/my new bike (never ridden it before, and it's way lighter/faster than I'm used to)

thanks

oddly enough it's on stock suspension but other than that it's very well set up - you can see the wheels (which I'll be converting to tubeless), brakes, bling. also has a Hinson slipper and cover and full FMF exhaust. an Outex tubeless kit showed up yesterday, not sure if I'll try to get it installed before the race.

I've yet to ride it but imagine it's gonna take quite a bit of getting used to - WAY lighter than my dinosaur YZ, WAY more power too

Beautiful bike Junkie. I've got the previous generation with the RFS engine. Everyone I know who has had both raves about how much more power the newer bikes have. The whole package is great.

it's big bore too so I can't imagine what the power is gonna be like. didn't see a point of riding it around the neighborhood so I haven't ridden it at all.

15.5 and 16 got a revised engine with more power and less weight, and I looked at a 16 FC450 too, but it wasn't as nicely set up (same brakes but DNA wheels, stock clutch cover, stock header, etc) other than suspension, and he wanted more, so I went for this one instead.

Whatever that means
I read on the internet that there is this new law that says you have to let me yardsale ride it for you.

wrong thread :nerd

didn't realize Dixon was gonna be open this weekend, Stockton is doing a moto only day Saturday

with the schedule at KCRP moved up, and looking at a total of half an hour on track vs 8+ hours of driving, I'm kinda tempted to stay local. Stockton is open more often than Dixon so I might do Dixon.

oh damn Dixon is tempting for Saturday.

I'm already double booked 4/20, very bummed to miss the Sears Point round.

Nice new ride Junkie!
