I haven't done much this year. Donated to tri-city food bank http://www.tri-cityvolunteers.org/donate/donate-funds/ and to a gofundme for a family friend who lost their house in the camp fire. I'm going to build tent footprints with the scouts tonight. That's about it.

I typically have the same attitude. I pay my taxes, it's just squandered but I do give to friend's causes.
