gone for now
Some of my races are in obscenely hot weather. Last year I wore roadrace leathers for everything but that wasn't the most pleasant.

I was thinking of picking up some dirt gear. Any brand suggestions? This is all kart track stuff so I'm thinking that knee pads and upper body armor under typical MX gear will be adequate. Still planning on wearing roadrace gloves.

I used to only buy what was on sale because its all one crash and done. Maybe the pants will hold up for a very low speed fall without being totaled. I bought a lot of Troy Lee Designs gear on sale because TLD supported Supermoto and many Supermoto racers. Troy Lee even raced a lot of Supermoto. I found TLD gear more comfortable and higher quality than Fox or FLY.

There are good deals on the clearance rack at Cycle Gear as MX fashions change quickly and last year's jerseys and pants are closed out. BTO Sports has great closeout deals as do most of Motocross-ATV.com and other online MX gear sites.

TLD and Thor used to sell MX style pants with leather sections specifically for Supermoto. Sometimes you can find them for sale from other racers. They aren't as good as road racing leather but they are a lot tougher than pure MX pants.

I've got some of the TLD pants and a TLD perforated leather body armor jacket that I should probably sell along with a ton of other MX gear.

Fat.

Everything is 34 or 36 waist so I could fit pads inside and the jerseys are XL or bigger because those are easier to slip over armored jackets and those sizes were most often on sale.

I have a pair of the TLD supermoto pants and think they are great, way more comfortable than roadrace gear IMO.

I've also got a TLD speed jacket (armored with leather inserts over the mesh) that I don't use anymore if anyone is interested.

I'll check when I get home.
Also have a nice Shift 2pc Superstreet model suit if you are interested.
Should fit 30-32 waist, which is not me anymore...
