Garage Door Fix? Any Ideas?

I turn to you wise folks on ideas on how to fix my garage door. I do rent so I cant do anything crazy.

Basically the Garage door when closed has fairly large gaps so plenty of heat/bugs/skinny homeless can get in.

Any ideas on how to fix these gaps?

Youtube is your friend here. Just search "adjusting garage door track" or "sealing garage door" etc. It's pretty simple.

My neighbor adjusted theirs.

It fell off on their car when they were done, about 2 weeks later.

Go for it, what is the worst that could happen? (keep your bikes in the living room)

Or adjust the mounts on the door. It depends on what he's got.

of all the ones i have seen the door mount part would not have been used to get the door close or farther from the wall.
to center in the opening yes. to adj how the panels "fit/move" within the roller guide channels.
other than the top roller it self.
but then i have not seen everything.

I have a carriage door that needs to be professionally adjusted every few years. Much easier to have someone who knows exactly what they're doing do this. Hell of a lot quicker and they get it right the first time.

They make a rubber lip seal that rides against the door, and the other gets screwed to the outer wall.

call your landlord

tell em last week the garage was closing fine

this week you got a 1-2inch gap on 1 side

then say something drastic like i think the foundation is sinking/unleveled etc

and see how fast he reacts

LOL

Haha I can try the landlord. They are one of those larger real estate management companies in the area that manage a TON of properties for owners. Their response time ranges from 1-week to a few years. They are fairly shitty in that regard.
