This is nice for when you want to hook a bunch of stuff up and isolate the circuits.
Who wants to loose both their heated grips AND their headlight in the middle of Death Valley @ 10pm?
Me neither but when you are in the middle of Death Valley @ 10pm freezing your ass off you start thinking about a lot of things. Should I have torqued the oil plugs? When was the last time I checked my chain. Why do I have a tire plug kit and no air compressor? Why didn't I just buy a fuse block instead of tapping my head and taillights...
... actually one of my 2 oil drainage plugs shooting out and flying into the bushes or blowing the head gasket big time (read: small nuclear explosion) along with the subsequent loss of rear wheel traction is among one of my unnatuaral sport-touring fears.
I digress.
This has 4 mounting holes in the corners and a built-in negative bus to cut down on the web of wires.
This is a Blue Sea fuse block. This is the 12 circuit version. I got the 6 circuit version from West Marine for $25.99 part #5025.
