Full suite racing leather hot?

Almost every picture I see from the gathering has someone riding in full leather. Is it hot? What are you guys wearing under it? Jeans?

I'm still looking for a bike and have been following BARF for maybe 6 months. I'm looking for a bike that I can commute from the city to San Rafael everyday. Do you guy wear full leather to work when you commute? Also, if anyone know a FZR 400 for sale that looks good send me a PM =)

I tend to choose leathers that are fully perforated for the extreme hot days.....cooler days, I wear nylon pullover underneath to block the wind......sometimes a jacket vest works just as well....

rainy and real cold days, I wear textile suit ......

for commuting, I wear my leather jacket and textile overpants that goes over regular jeans.....

for as long as you ride, you might find yourself getting more and more riding gear to suit your needs and purposes....

don't be surprised when you find out you spend more on riding stuff than on regular clothes.....

when I'm wearing full leathers, I'm wearing a thisrt under the jacket, and underwear under the pants. Socks under the boots. If I remain sedentary long enough, yup, I do get sweaty, and if I ride inland, I get sweaty anyways if the day's hot enough. But it's never unendurable. If your leathers are at least even somewhat vented, keep moving, you should stay somewhat comfortable.

Just make sure to drink fluids when you stop. Dehydration is a fucker.

Anyways yes leathers are hot in the summer months, you get hella hot in them. I dont wear mine unless I know im going to be riding hard. Otherwise its just jeans and jacket. The jacket is a textile one and vents better, but still when it is hot . its hot no matter what you do. As far as what is worn under the leather suits goes. Boxers and a T-shirt. I just recently bought some Under Armour shirt and boxer. They are supposed to keep yah cooler and allow yah to better slide of the suit.

Full leathers ALWAYS---yes it gets hot---but NOT nearly as hot as your shin gets whilst its getting ground of your body:wow

Its NOT that big of a deal, especially after youve done T-Hill/BW at 110F

BTW---anyone know how to get that pootanky smell out of them:laughing :laughing :laughing

just got my first leathers, and to my surprise, they are not as hot as my black leather jacket. I'd have to attribute that to the perferations (that the suit has, but the jacket didn't.) usually, I'm wearing bike shorts and a t-shirt under the leathers.
