2-Strokes suck. :thumbdown
I prefer the added heft, reduced power, and more intensive maintenance of a 4-stroke.

If I don't have to check the valves every few hours, I get sad. If I don't have to change the oil after ever few hours of riding, I don't feel like I'm doing it right. Besides, who wants to replace rings every year or two and pistons every 2-3 years? That's 3-4 hours of work!

All of this.

And I hope I never have to follow one of those air-polluting, climate-changing, eye-watering stink bombs. :hand

I am not weird, you are.
Rode my 200exc yesterday at Rock Creek. Gotta have at least one in the garage.

We also have my wife's 1974 Yamaha TY80 (her 1st bike)

Haha, funny, but there are some solid 4T misconceptions in there!

I would like to think of them more as "slight exaggerations." :laughing

Seriously though, with regard to reasonably high-performance dirt bikes, 2T maintenance is SUPER easy, compared to 4T. Anyone who tells you otherwise is smoking somthing. They both have their good and bad sides, for sure, and I can definitely understand why some folks prefer 4T. To each his own.

I can tell you that I felt the same way before owning one, but don't feel that way after owning one. I can also tell you that if I ever have one of those ugly $1500 grenades, my 4T days are over!
