For Lunch: Geyser

On my way back from lunch I hit heavy traffic wail trying to cross Van Ness. I look to my left and see a huge jet of water coming from the street. Decided to go over and check out what was going on.

No idea how it happened. The fire department was on scene and turned it off right after I got there.

I saw a scene like that in LA once, but there were power lines directly above. Made for a pretty light show. :cool

I just came from there....

all the cars stopped in traffic cuz of the big "lake" on van ness...

I just stood on my pegs and rode right through it laughing while a homeless guy gave me a big :thumbup .....

I wonder if it got hit or if the bolts were so corroded from dog piss that it just blew off. I seem to recall a news story about someone being killed by a flying fire hydrant...hmm...to google!

I spend too much time reading news.
