For a Harry face

:afm199 So I've been shaving with Gillette Sensor for fricken ever. I don't even think they make the original sensor blades anymore, but they haven't yet phased out the sensor III. In actuality, for many years now, I've been getting those off brand "compare to" blades, compatible with sensor III due to the ridiculous price of the brand name blades. I was getting a 4-pack for $5. Not a bad deal.

So I decided to try https://www.harrys.com. They sell them at Target now. I've used it for a week now. HOLY SHIT! I'm not kidding you. It's not even in the same league. They are sooooo much better than what I'd been using. I'll never go back. I haven't been nicked once so far. Not a bit of razor burn. I'm just blown away by the difference.

Anyone else try it? I highly recommend Harry's. How does it compare to dollar shave club or others?

I'm a big fan of Harry's! It took me a little while to get used to the way the razor feels, but damn, it easily shaves even long whiskers and is very, very smooth. :thumbup

Norelco 3 head for me. Quite satisfactory for everyday. Faster and less messy.
I don't have a real thick beard.

If you do use them via their web site, there are always coupons for them. Save a few $$$.

I've been using Dorco blades (the same brand that was whitelabeled for Dollar Shave Club) since it was cheaper to buy them direct. Now that I'm through the starter pack, I'm finding I can't buy the refill packs online. $17 ain't bad for another starter pack (Handle + 10 blades) but I still feel dumb buying it and throwing the handle out.

Being Half-Japanese, I couldn't grow a beard with a gun pointed at my head. In my entire life (55 years), I bet I haven't purchased 5 razors, probably not even 3.

It's cheaper that way.

I buy these. It's like $8 for a 4-pack and I use each razor for between 3-4 weeks. The last week or two are painful, but I'm cheap and put up with it.

Those are similar style to what i had been using. Try Harry's. Also $8 for 4 blades @ Target. The handle + 2 starter blades is something like $10. They are so much better you won't believe it.

Also, change them blades more often. I switch out once a week.

Been using Harry's razors for three months, moderate beard and the top of my head. Like 'em a lot, I'm on the auto mailer for quarterly replacement blades.

Good feel to the handle, too.

Hydro 5. They last me 4-6 weeks and are dirt cheap when on sale at Costco. Something like $1.50 per blade so Costco pack for $25 last two years.

Thanks. That was a good comparison. Think I made the right choice and will stick with Harry's.

I didn't try their shave cream. I was just using the standard no frills Gillette shave cream. Like the article stated, those Harry's blades did wash through very quickly and easily. Much more so than the old knock off Sensor III blades I'd been using.

Screw Gillette (but go Patriots!)

I'm in and just signed up. Thanks for the tip; never heard of them.

So, Bo... the next you pull someone over they ask, "You wanna feel a clean, close shave?"

That'll be Harry's code for "Don't taze me, bro." :D
