Bear with me here:

Now I live in Raleigh and play pool on wednesdays at this local place. They always had a shit beer selection but I can choke down the Peacemaker they have.
Came in last tuesday, and saw that they now had Lagunitas IPA on tap!

Fucking YAAAAAAY. One of my favs. Was really, really stoked to think I was gonna drink that fucking keg in the next couple weeks!!:)

The "bartender"/dumbass 21 year old working there always has problems with overly foamy tap. All the "bartenders" do. She's like "I don't think I can get a glass out of this" and I am like "work harder. I am drinking one of those before I leave, and frankly I am thinking of drinking FIVE and calling the 'ol lady for a ride".

So she finally manages it. Not as good as it should be, but still good.

Come back the next night to play and have a few more. Same problem with the overly foamy tap. She spends half the time letting gas out of something.

I get my beer and it has a weird head. kinda creamyish and falls down fast. I take a drink and it is flat. WTF.

Educate me so I can educate these fucking moronic assholes who own a bar but can't poor a fucking decent beer. I swear to gosh I want to burn the place to the fucking ground.:mad:mad:mad

They fucking cheap out on everything so I bet it has something to do with that.

there are so many ways to tap a keg wrong it isn't even funny. doing it right isn't that hard though.

are any of the beers on tap flowing properly?

clean the lines

Probably dirty. I'll ask if they have ever been cleaned and probably receive a blank stare.

The keg could also be stored at the wrong temperatures...

Likely.

The Peacemaker seem to flow alright and isn't as flat.

sounds like they need to adjust the regulator on their co2 tank for the tap

They are always blowing off some kind of blow-off valve in an attempt to get it to flow better. Think this has something to do with it?

Thanks for your responses guys. :laughing

Could be all of those, combination thereof...

Im thinking the biggest problem is letting the gas OUT of the keg in the first place. In fact, they could be running too low of a pressure to the keg.

Need to find out what temperature their beers are kept at. How long the line runs are. What pressure they are pushing the beer at. When the last time they cleaned the lines was. And even what type of gas they are using to push.

Lot's of things could be wrong.

Call the local distributor, Mims Distributing Co. Inc. 919.876.4634

Tell them you want to help them sell more beer.

Repeat your story.

They'll send an expert to the bar, rather than some random thirsty guy who could just want another X amount for free, and problem solved.

Ask that they either let you know when their expert has solved the problem or who else serves it.

isn't there some mcclan oatmeal stout out that a way?

Haven't been drinking stouts too much lately. But, my girlfriend likes them a lot and she really like the DuckRabbit milk stout. I'll keep and eye out for it.

GOLD.

Don't know why that didn't cross my mind. Went to HS with some Marksteins.

Called them up, they forwarded me to the local rep, and I explained to her about the lack of pride this particular place has in their product and work. Hopefully, she'll go take care of it!! The beer at least. :thumbup

Don't know why I am so irritated about this. Just pisses me off to get all excited to have a nice cold IPA in this shithole, and the fuckers can't even do that right. Grrr. They also have shitty ass balls and equipment.

They actually have a set of Brunswick Centenials (great balls) that they hand out to "non-league" players, as the save the "good ones" (cheap fucking nicked up shit) for the league "players" (who all fucking suck). LOL. 1/2 the damn cueballs are for bar boxes and weigh twcie what a cue ball should.

Really had to rant about this. Luckilly there is barf.

Jesus, don't people have any fucking pride anymore?:laughing

Just finished off a Hop Stoopid bomber, so man, I feel bad for you. If your going to serve Petaluma's finest, don't fuck it up.

But yeah, talk the distributor, thats the best shot at getting this fixed.

God, I love that Hop Stoopid. Apparently, so does everyone else, because it has been sold out at Whole Paycheck around here. Fucking gluttons are drinking it all.:(

Been drinking some HoppyYum from Foothills which is not bad, but not as good.

At least it wasn't foamy. :laughing
