For those interested, the first 2020 planning meet up is next Wednesday at Lanesplitters off University/on San Pablo 6:30PM (out back).

Pizza and beer are brought out in batches but we expect people to chip in cash for what they consume. One of our own is super generous to provide this space and food discounts, so we like to make sure our waitress has a nice tip at the end.

This coming year will differ a bit from prior years but we're not sure exactly how, yet. There has been talk of riding from much more North vs starting mid-Peninsula (BOLA). There's been talk of going to one spot or two spots and doing various day loops from there. None of us know what's going to shake out, if you want to be a part of it, show up. We do close the group around October as the point is for this to be a collaborative effort to organize, not a "join last minute and glom on".

The trip and the group are awesome - the above makes it sound more serious than it is. We always have a great time. 2019 was our most successful year yet with 20+ riders and ZERO injuries or serious mechanicals. We aim for the same in 2020 :ride

Have to leave for Oregon for work tomorrow so will miss the meet. Will check back in here and look at schedule for the year as could be in for a Baja trip in 2020. Did it a while ago with brother and 10 other riders....what a blast

When in doubt, gas it!
Unfortunately, I won't be joining the Baja ride next year as I decided to do a ride in Costa Rica next April instead. I can't do both.

Was there any more talk of a second group? I remember they were talking of a less hardcore dirt/ more large adventure bike stable route last year?

It's a 3 hour drive and a place to stay over night for me. Not just a pop in for a half hour type of deal.

CJ comes from Lake County, Scott from Sacramento, Mark from Half Moon Bay... sorry we don't have more answers at this point but that is what the meets are for. Maybe after the August meet we'll have a better idea of what we're doing and you can decide then if it's worth your time. I'll post an update after the August meet :ride
