So, I found a deal on some SM wheels for my KTM450 down in San Diego.
Super nice guy. He boxed and shipped them with no trouble. Here's the aggravation. They arrived in Hayward on the 10th. I have had 5 "will be delivered today" notices so far. The box is, apparently still sitting in the truck trailer or in the FedEx warehouse in Hayward. I have talked to Customer Service and they have opened a case number and promised to get it moving. Was supposed to be delivered again yesterday, didn't happen. Now it's supposed to be delivered today. I'm hearing the warehouses are a mess from all the packages that can't be delivered since the companies are closed. I just pray they don't "lose' my stuff.:mad

Barely related: I have a domestic UPS packaged that was supposed to be tendered to USPS on the 17th to be delivered on the 20th according to UPS. USPS claims they are still waiting for the package. I hope mine didn't get lost either

I had a Fedex driver drop my package outside our gated community on the street! They get in a rush and good luck getting your stuff!

Of course they wont let you come get it either?
Whammy ordered some computer parts days ago and it hasn't shipped from amazon yet.
Delivery is said to be Friday.... I wont hold my breath. SMH

I guess I'm lucky since I haven't had any issues with the carriers.

I stopped ordering from Amazon almost entirely. They are a mess and can't get things delivered on time. eBay is much faster and usually cheaper.

I have been having the exact opposite experience.

I talked to one of their drivers. He said right now it's worse than the holiday season. Plus they aren't set up to store packages, just move them to their destination. Now they've got packages piling up due to companies being closed. He said it's possible that my box is still sitting in the trailer it came up from San Diego on in the FedEx parking lot. I just wish they'd send delivery messages that actually reflected some sort of reality.

This is accurate. Technically, companies that have their packages "on hold" at Fedex location are suppose to come pick them up at least once a week (that's where that "essential worker" comes into play) instead of having them stored until the stay-home order is lifted. Unfortunately during this time Fedex might not be deemed liable for lost packages & damaged packages (maybe?) since the present chaos is out of their control :afm199

Another shitty thing about fedex, it seems like delivery drivers are contractors.

I always get the run around when packages go missing and late.

The only positives i see is the fedex ground is 7 days delivery now

FedEx sucks...call them daily referencing your claim number or whatever tracking number you have. Ask to speak to their manager and request to escalate the issue. Politely of course...but being stern requesting the escalation and get your point on how unacceptable the service is.

I'm sad to say that the issues are not isolated to just Fedex. I've been having lots of issues recently with UPS as well. I got so frustrated with UPS that I actually called customer service at Amazon demanding that they make sure that none of my future orders goes out to me via UPS.

Well, out of the frying pan and into the fire. Fedex shipments weren't any better. I feel bad for them. They are just doing the best that they can with their limited resources. But, at the same time, I had a different level of expectations that are hard to reset to the present situation.

I never thought I'd say this, but the USPS shipments seemed to be the most reliable recently.

SKRRRRRRRRRRRT!!!!!!
fedex ground are contractors, express is actual fedex employees. the system is clogged right now for everyone. we are just returning to sender businesses that are closed at ups. sunnyvale hub is caught up on its stuff. we had 20 trailers of retains that we were able to work through in about a week on top of the 15-20 trailers we run daily. amazon is delaying a lot of its stuff up to 20 days and ups is taking advantage of that memo. we run amazons trailers if we can get to them but theyre also pretty light lately. i mean 53 foot trailers showing up with 1 pallet in them. but yes it is like christmas. actually its worse. holiday helpers are always let go 4th week of january or sooner and with the 6ft rule we cant have helpers on car these days. there are routes going out with 300+ stops, its pretty nuts.

My wheels ARRIVED yesterday. The people at the office actually have been calling me by name I've stopped by so often. Everything came in good shape.

All of our shipping has been doing ok down here, but I'm not in the meat of urban LA, but out here in the IE.

We lost some USPS mail (we have this thing where they email us images of the mail that we're receiving that day, so we actually "know" when we lose mail).

Other than that, the FedEx texts have been pretty accurate. The delivery folks have this tendency to dump the packages in the garage (which we have open so the landscapers can have someplace to sit, take a break, eat lunch).
