Fedex Tracy Depot the Black Hole for packages

So what's the current story behind the Fedex Tracy Depot? I've had several packages stuck there for weeks now. I've managed to get most of them but my two most important ones have been in limbo there or in short distance transit to there for a week or more. What typically takes 2 days....takes 2+ weeks. Can't get a hold of anyone at all for any questions so I'm stuck with nada. Why are they the ONLY shipper with this kind of delay????

I read in the comment section of the local rag that it's due to a Covid outbreak at some UPS centers.

I used to work as a package handler back in the day for UPS. They all work in enclosed spaces in close quarters with little ventilation and on a hot ass week like this its near impossible to work with a mask on. They probably have fans going to increase the circulation but it still fucking sucks. Given the increase in e-commerce they probably more volume and more workers when I worked there back in the early 2000s.

:laughing You say that like Tracy and Manteca are not Stockton :laughing

I remember when I was in Kansas City and local people wanted to go on and on about the people on the other side of the border (KS/MO).

I had a set of wheels arrive from San Diego to the Hayward FedEx center. Then just sit there. Every day I got a text telling me that they would be delivered that day. Then...nothing. Finally I cornered a FedEx driver. He told me that so many businesses were shut that the backlog of undelivered packages at the facility was completely out of hand. A lot of shipments just sat in the trailers they came into the Bay Area in. I finally got the wheels, but I was getting scared that they had lost them

With so many people out of work right now....seems like the solution is simple. Shit, make them seasonal/temporary workers to avoid the hassle of letting them go when/if things get back to normal'ish.
