I did and looks like an advanced case. Any idea how I can get rid of it I have tried several vids on you tube but none have worked.

If it were me, I'd make an Ubuntu bootable disk boot with that and copy all ur important files off. Then reinstall OS.
I haven't had to deal with many virus issues, don't know if there are any anti virus solutions that enable booting off of a CD/DVD.
Depending on how sophisticated the virus is you may be able to boot in safe mode and then run some kind of anti virus software.
I'm assuming this is a Windows system.

Do what ^^^ said. Not worth the risk of keeping trying to "repair" that state.
Be happy you (hopefully) don't have Cryptolocker.

Yes it's windows home prem.

I went through all kinds if chit last night nothing worked. But overnight the system restored itself to a point where my network adapter was not connected. ( I got a wifi intenna for better reception) I guess once it was away from the net it was able to restore.

It's a new machine and I just pretty much use it to watch tv on so there wasn't much on it.

Now I guess I have to get in there and clean it out.

Dude.. Fdisk that disk and rebuild windows from scratch. You'll always have an infected computer otherwise.

Hey I just fix the motorcycles these little boxes with the magic smoke are new to me. :)

The restore point worked should I still wipe everything clean.

Do you have restore points setup in windows? Flashing back to one of those should fix it.
Nope

You were just infected with a virus that took significant control of your PC. You really have no idea what other hidden "goodies" including keyloggers and other information skimming agents lurking that you didn't find.

I'll answer your question with a question. Are you comfortable doing online banking with your machine now? ;)

:laughing that's my surfing machine I don't even log onto Barf with that thing. Shit I'm so poor your credit will fall two points just looking at my accounts. So no worries there. :teeth

As long as it doesn't slow down performance I don't care what it watches. :) it just runs windows media center and the browsers.

Ok I got it to work from system restore.

Should I run the dell back up and recovery at the bottom? Will that clear everything out?

Instead of system restore you could use malwarebytes which will get rid of it. Boot into safe mode and run it after updating the dats.
