FasTrak keeps charging me full price

GPzPop

Ask me about my B-1-D
charging full price on toll bridges on your moto in carpool lanes? during carpool hours? (should be $ 2.50 / each trip)
or in express lanes? (Motos should be free)
What was customer support's response ?

I haven't called (but I will) because I'm not going to work every day, but WFH is ending for me and tolls will be a thing.

Is amazing to me that FastTrak gets the plate right, but doesn't grok it is a MC.

Thanks for the response.

There is no longer a "discount" rate for motorcycles with FasTrak & there hasn't been for years. You either pay full price, or you get the carpool rate IF you use the carpool/HOV lane during the specified hours.

Yet another thing that I don't miss about California - Tolls and FasTrak. :cool

I don't remember exactly what it took to cancel the three FasTrak devices that I had before I left, but at least I only had to do it once and it was taken care of.

At least we do not have so many toll roads than other states or south California, east coast being a pain.

I'm wondering if this is something we could ask our local AMA Rep to pursue?

I got a .70 credit by phone this summer for carpool in an express lane. Was told to toggle a switch on my transponder but it’s too old for that. Just another subscription service to monitor.

Go to your online account and complain. They will refund. Next step - physically remove fastrak device from your bike. They will bill you by plate, will be free in flex lanes. I did it a year ago, and no more errors.
If you search barf you will find similar threads.

You need your toll tag to get the discount

If you just register it with your plate and not carry it with you, will get charged full priced

The proper way to do it is go in the carpool lane that is wider and ride off to the side so you don't trigger the sensor.

Free for life. You're welcome.

Hasn't been my experience at all. I've never carried my toll tag on my motorcycles and have always been charged the correct rate on the bridges and have never been charged in the HOT lanes.

Well neener-fucken-neener.
He was clearly not making a "realistic" comparison.
So over-literal. You must be a gas at parties.

Same as the person that gloats about moving to another state every time the opportunity presents itself...including twice in the same thread that isn't even about that topic. :rolleyes

You don't know if he was being literal at all, actually.

The first comment was about FasTrak, which was on topic. I would have been happy to have left it there. :x
