You do realize that this team won the world title a few yrs ago and Jenson Button put it on the pole several times.
It is Mercedes' first pole since the 1955 Italian Grand Prix with Juan Manuel Fangio. The team pulled out of F1 at the end of that season following a second consecutive world title for the legendary Argentine, not returning as a constructor until 2010 when they bought the Brawn team.

Mercedes pulled out because in 1955 Pierre Levegh tried driving the full 24hr on Le Mans by himself and fell asleep, crashed into the crowd and killed over 80 people.

it's also nice to see Michael being human during an interview, typically he's such a robot.
