On February 28, 1982, Bailey was arrested for drunk driving in California.

Bailey's high public profile has come both as a result of the cases he has taken and his own actions.[42] In 2001, he was disbarred in the state of Florida, with reciprocal disbarment in Massachusetts on April 11, 2003. The Florida disbarment was the result of his handling of shares in a pharmaceutical company named Biochem Pharma[43] during his representation of marijuana dealer Claude DuBoc.[44] Bailey had transferred a large portion of DuBoc's assets into his own accounts.

In 2009, Bailey moved to Yarmouth, Maine, where he was a partner in the Bailey & Elliott consulting business with his girlfriend Debbie Elliott.[56] In 2012, Bailey passed the Maine bar examination and applied for a law license; the Maine Board of Bar Examiners voted 5–4 to deny his application.

On April 10, 2014, the Maine Supreme Court voted 4-to-2 to side with the Bar Examiners and reverse Justice Alexander's decision, which continued to prevent Bailey from practicing law in Maine

Wow what an idiot. He says Colombian Hitmen killed Nicole Brown because they were going after Faye Resnick, who had moved out of the house the day before.

Fixed just for a bit of context. I guess I tuned out fairly early on this case so it was news to me anyway.

I dunno, there is something credible about Bailey that I don't find with Avenatti whatsoever.

Rolls with it...
Well, the jury found OJ was not guilty....

:rofl

As for Bailey? Just another old guy trying to regain past relevance. Fame must be a helluva high to some people. :dunno

Not as fast as I look.
He's like Avenatti before Avenatti was Avenatti.
Pretty much, my first thought. I am sure they would give him a CNN show, if he could prove Trump did something to someone over something unrelated to shit to do with the real world.

The guy is disbarred. Does he know Clinton? :rolleyes

Flea was once a very noted and prominent attorney. I guess they are like MotoGP racers. One year you're hot shit, the next year you're just shit.

I didn’t quite come to that conclusion...

... he has withdrawn to a small town in Maine, where he runs a consulting firm. ... I reached out to Bailey a few months ago for his thoughts on the televised spectacle he left behind.

While he hasn't been as ubiquitous as Dershowitz on Fox News, he started appearing on more news shows, especially when OJ was paroled from Nevada and his fight to regain his license in Maine, which the state court also denied.

I think people are just too eager to discount this guy because they didn't like the OJ trial.

He's a very smart guy, a classic legal gunslinger that our system produces and I think he has cogent things to say. I mean, maybe he's a sociopath and a drunk but he is obviously a brilliant man.

I've slowly come to the conclusion that most brilliant people are flawed. While we lionize, worship and deify our heroes on film and paper, many are just as human as most of us. The recent FBI file release of info about ML King comes to mind.

Like him or not, Bailey was skillful and successful... till he wasn't as Ernie pointed out. You've got scads of people and large organizations all yacking nonstop about a persons guilt... then Baily yacks back in defense of his client. Say what you will. He was good at it.
