Here are some pics from the "Eventually Ride" on Sunday, Nov. 23rd. So named because we EVENTUALLY made it to Santa Cruz. For the most part, without event...

Step one: Stand around at STP. More standing around. Even MORE standing around. Someone needs to get on this bike and ride!

Step Two: Massive numbers of bikes ride all the way from Alice's/STP to 4corners. Whew, worn out from such a long jaunt. :rolleyes Stage up for next part of ride, down 9 to the beach, after those with worn tires are excused for a side trip. Plenty of trim on helmet. :thumbup Not enough tread on rear tire! :thumbdown

Still along the way on the Eventually We'll Get There Ride to Santa Cruz

Boulder Creek! No one needs gas, but we stop anyway. Why? No worries, because we will get there E V E N T U A L L Y. :teeth

We made it! Santa Cruz Beach & Boardwalk

We park. Insert rolls of quarters into parking meters. After lunch, some guys take in the view. They misunderstood, it's a BOARDwalk, not BROADwatch. I just took pictures of sailboats...honest!

Back up 9 to home...

We splintered off some folks during lunch so we picked up another group ride to return our numbers to a massive string of various two-wheeled rides.

Since I bailed after lunch (I live in Santa Cruz) I'm probably the first one home. Just wanted to say thanks for letting me tag along. Nice meeting you all and hope to do it again sometime. Great roads today. Thanks to Paul for setting it up.

totally! i was really loving this ride. couldv'e made a couple less stops and left out sooner, but i wanted everyone to be able to join and have some fun. so it all worked out.
