Engine rebuild shops?

Working on a old Honda CB550, does anyone have any recommendations for shops in the Bay Area that do cylinder head work?

Are you looking for just machine work to parts you are going to collect and build or do you want to drop off an engine and get a fresh one back?

Also, how deep do you need to go in that 550? probably cheaper and wiser to just find another one, like this one (not mine)

Honda CB550 motorcycle motor - engine. I original got this for parts but have never used any. 1970's decade Honda Motor
There was oil in the engine when I got it, but not sure how much. Great for your Cafe Racer project, or stock projects.
I don't ship, if you buy it bring a friend or two to help lift it!

Call if serious: 916-871-2892
Located close to downtown Sacramento

My motor has great compression, just looking to freshen it up by adding new valve seals, new valve springs and possibly new valves.

being in san jose, i'd call Evolution Suspension. a barf sponsor and a shop that does far more than just suspension.... and the will work on older bikes to some extent

Evolution for sure on the assembly side, I know Rob pretty good. I am more looking for the machining aspect encase i need to do valve angling etc.

Patrick Ho @ Performance Concepts. Great guy w/an eye for detail. IIRC he's been doing lots of older Honda aircooled engines for racers up north. :eboy
