Endgame. (Probable spoilers, but not by me)

What a big movie! And big in just about every imaginable way!

Hard to believe a company once at the door of bankruptcy would grow into this.

144 box office records, and counting...

I thought it was a tick slow to start. Had an excessively overt sjw moment, and a little wobbly at the very end. But what it was getting right was awesome entertainment.

As a dude who grew up deeply immersed in the crazy world of Marvel comic books it stomped the landing for me. Pretty much exceeded every expectation I had and blew my mind in others. I'm extremely excited to see where the MCU is headed.

It fleshed out the characters stories and elaborated on their relationships. The "femenist thing wasn't even remotely on my radar I was so caught up in everything going on, even one part I should have known was coming went completely over my head until the final moment before it plays out. And the tie ins to the other movies was genius.

One of my biggest concerns was "How can you outdo the ending of Infinity War" they did it in spades. I can only hope and pray that Star Wars comes close to the achievement this film was.

I agree, it was really well done on all the things it wanted to do. I imagine the executives of every other current "franchise" efforts are just crying openly right now. I can't even imagine any of them living up to the standard Marvel just set.

Even with my small gripes, I still think they hit this one way out of the park. And for me, the absolute best performance was Josh Brolin. His Thanos was fantastic.

I kept telling my friends who didn't see Ant Man and the Wasp because they weren't into the character to make sure to see it. It's not a throw-away movie.

Only a couple admitted after the fact of seeing Endgame and not knowing WTF was going on with all that admitted they were wrong. :p

I'm glad the time jump suits were only temporary when they were jumping through the quantum realm. Everyone matching looked really lame.

I was kind of hoping they wouldn't put the stones back but just split them up between 6 members so they could do the whole Illuminati thing but this works too. Good send off for RDJ and Chris Evans.

I've been a die hard Marvel Cat since I was a little kid, but I haven't seen this one yet. Been busy on the weekend and trying to avoid the clusterfuck as well.

I totally enjoyed both Ant Man movies. More cutesy than most marvel films, but I will usually watch them before the first 2 Thor movies just about any day of the week.

I should be bummed Iron Man took an L for the team but we got 11 years out of him so nothing to really complain about it. I felt like they oversold his sacrifice a LITTLE bit more than I needed. They’ve made it obvious since Avengers 1, he’ll take the L if he has to. It’s a little different because he had a family but still, Dr. Strange told Tony he didn’t tell Tony how this scenario plays out because if he did, it wouldn’t happen. Pretty sure it would have. I don’t think anybody was doubting that Tony would sacrifice himself if he had to like he hasn’t before.

It was pretty much a sure thing to me that Iron Man would be the one unfuck everything with the stones but I’m not surprised Hulk used it first. A handful of people on the team have held all 6 stones before. But Iron Man is the center of the whole MCU so no surprise there.

Also, I was happy with the usage of Cap Marvel. I've been telling my friend ever since he saw Captain Marvel and keeps saying, ShE's ToO pOwErFuL and the rest of the team is useless in comparison to calm down and just wait. It'll be fine.

They just adjust power levels of any given character to suit the needs of whatever story they’re trying to tell, just as it always has been in the comics. Her character has always worked just fine in the comics when she’s a regular member, not an ace in the hole hand grenade.

I liked that her character wasn’t over used. She has no long attachment to the Avengers or Earth at this point outside of knowing who they are and remembering Earth is actually where she’s from. Outside of that, they did a good job of using the dialogue to make it obvious her stance in the whole issue is, "yo, yeah this shit sucks but shit sucks a lot of other places too."

Had she been a more long standing member of the team, they would have adjusted her power level accordingly to not be a one person wrecking machine basically making the rest of the team useless. It’s the same deal with the Justice League. Just because Superman is Superman doesn’t mean the rest of the team doesn’t have any value.

And let’s be honest. Scarlet Witch would arguably be maybe the most powerful person there, if they let her be. She’s been neutered since they introduced her in Age of Ultron. Same with Hulk. He’s always been toned down too.

My disappointment in her character so far, is that in the comics she was a Martial Arts master. In the movies they've done nothing with her character at all.

Otherwise, I second that motion.

So to recap:

-Thor is now with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
-The Gamora with the Guardians is from the 2012 timeline
-The New Cap is actually Falcon who has no super powers, when it should've went to Bucky.
-And there were 3 Captain Americas at one point living in the same universe.

Enjoyed it but in retrospect out of the rush of being in the moment there were several things bugging me. Chief among them is the whole time stone thing and how Tony throws out some random math terms and goes “yup I solved time travel”. Same with “quantum quantum macguffin”.

This guy nails all that and then some. I’d say about 1/3 of the shit he lists wasn’t that big a deal, but...eh give it a look.

Spoilers ahead. We enjoyed it very much but ...

how is Capt Marvel able to annihilate Thanos' ship but gets the crap kicked out of her by Thanos himself?

Did Okoye come out of the (big giant circle thingy in the sky) with Tachalla? If so, why? She didn't get scattered in the last movie?

Just a couple of thoughts I had about it. Definitely want to watch it again. There's so much going on at certain points ... :)

They can't pass the mantle to the Manchurian candidate, confirmed Hydra Agent who killed JFK, and Stark's parents, and put a bullet in Nick Fury's chest lol.

Phase 4 is gonna be interesting...

Fantastic, loved it. Really just flew by, can't believe it was 3 hours. Didn't even need a potty break.

Yep. Beyond everything people are talking about, all my friends that have seen it also said it flew by. It didn't FEEL any longer than any of the other movies that are around 2 hours.

A thought I just had, I'm not even gonna call it a gripe, just a thought. I wish they had done more with the individual stones like they did in Infinity War.

I'm talking about the point where Thanos was fighting everyone, Carol wasn't letting him close his fist to snap his fingers, so he pulled out the power stoned and popped her in the mouf.

Either him or anyone else playing hot potato with the gauntlet/stones doing something with just one stone would have been cool.

Also thinking back, Steve using Mjolnir was cool. But was cooler was him and Thor switching back and forth between Mjolnir and Storm Breaker.

That was a cool payoff from Age of Ultron at their party when they all tried to lift it and Steve moved it a millimeter.
