So excited for this hope it goes well but weather abort may happen due to crap weather in that area articles are putting it as high as 40-50% chance of abort.

I am bummed they put off the Starship hop test for this but I totally understand why they did it.

Thats a long time to second guess if its a good idea to have eaten that gas station sushi last night.

FTFY :laughing

Seriously tho... been watching space missions since I was a kid when we first started leaving the planet. I don't think I've ever seen mention of how they deal with suppressing bodily functions. Fasting? Eat a big block of cheese? Is evacuation built into the suits now?

They wear Adult Diapers. Remember the case of the Hawt Female Astronaut who drove multiple states (nonstop) to go and confront 'the other' woman in a love triangle- well they said that she drove nonstop while wearing diapers that she took from NASA.

Wasn't following the program but didn't think Musk's operation was near ready for transporting humans. That's a whole shitload of more safety redundancy than just delivering tools and takeout food to the space station.

The idea is that the diapers are good for #1, but you should NEVER go #2 on them unless you want a huge mess to go up your back.

You should read up on it. They've been doing a shit load of qualifying tests with NASA. It's not SpaceX that decides when they are ready to carry people. It's NASA. They have passed all the tests so far.

You don't honestly think that NASA will allow them to put people on the rocket if they weren't ready? Another launch fatality will push them back another decade and just about guarantee that our astronauts are stuck launching only on the Russian rockets for the forseeable future.

Delivering tools and takeout?:laughing

The Dragon capsule has a payload capacity of ~13,000 lb and I looked up one mission and the payload was ~6,000 lb. The payload often includes the fuel that ISS consumes to maintain orbit.

Years ago when I was designing satellite parts, I remember that one of my projects was planed to launch on a SpaceX rocket and my thought were "SpaceX, they are not ready yet, are they?" I was so wrong. :laughing

Untitled work in progress
I was set to go. First and last live launch of manned mission I saw didn't go so well so was hoping this would kinda wipe out that memory. Was going to watch with my son. Maybe he will end up with more interest in space flight/exploration as a result. We will try again Saturday. Hopefully clearer sky to allow for better viewing from the ground cameras.
