East Bay Area Photo Tag

New: Note this has been posted before, but not as a primary tag, so I think it's still up for grabs and it's an easy one, I think.

Does that mean generally speaking this location has been tagged but this particular house wasn't used in the shot? I realize we might be running out of 'unique' landmarks, but I don't think posting shots of something next to something we've already tagged should qualify. If the location can stand on its own that's fine, but if it didn't make the 'first cut', IMO, it shouldn't be used. :2cents

No, the post that had this abbey had a new location, but posted this as a second location, in case the first picture he or she posted had already been tagged. They had posted 2 locations.

There's a hint in that reply.

Hint: the man who built this and wrote poetry here, also has the street where it is located named after him.

Old Location:
Joaquin Miller's Abbey
3081 Joaquin Miller Rd, Oakland, CA 94602

For how close I am to this, sorry it took so long.

I was productive and even have the new spot (assuming it has not been done before... too lazy to check at the moment).

Bonus, take a photo with these locals :thumbup

Hint: Many of you likely steam past this view to get to an expansive vista.

Hint Part 2: Since many of you seem to have hit a wall ... or possibly this has just been swallowed up by other trains of thought. I hope the bold sections help to illuminate, if no progress is made in about a week I will pick a new spot.

New location:

This architecture is just across the street from a regal spot well known to Bay Area varappeurs.

New Spot:
This little Nouveau hipster hangout is at the intersection between a theater, a brewery, and the best damn cobbler in the area. A great place to begin any good adventure story with a quality cup of coffee...but watch out for the road going up the mountain, there was an unfortunate accident involving a R6 and gravel very recently.
