Wildcat Canyon, nice guess but no.

Way back when, when news had a lag time and was delivered on two wheels, this family may have used this tree to make their paper.

I think this is the right one. Pinehurst Road, midway between Pinehurst staging area and Canyon road junction.

There is a reservoir directly behind me.
And quite a pile of trash as well :thumbdown

Yes, that’s it! And the trash… Holy cow! It seems like there’s way more trash on these turnouts than there used to be :thumbdown

I can’t be too self righteous. There’s plenty of empty beer bottles and cans, as well as cig butts, tossed down the turnouts of PH and RR by me and my teenage buddies back in the 80’s.

New spot:

One of 3 grand gates for a hidden Villa, located at the end of a long straight.
Also hidden behind is hangars and a taxiway that leads down to a small airstrip.
If you peek over the fence you’ll see the bones of an Iroquois.

Well, I am very intrigued by this one. I have no idea where it is, but in trying to figure out the clues I discovered that there is a small private air strip on the outskirts of Livermore. I never would have known.

Looks like we're at a month and no one has tagged this spot, or even posted an "I know where it is"... so maybe time for another hint? Not my call, but just a suggestion to keep EBAPT alive.

Thats funny, I did the same thing and found that airstrip outside Livermore :laughing

I'm stumped on this one. Could use a hint.

This 3 mile stretch of road has 4 roundabouts, one on each end.
One end houses the Mayor of Munchkinland, and a rock hillside is on the other.
It is named for the nice panorama of the area that is afforded by the hilltop route, and an unincorporated district of the county shares its name.

Fun clues. Figured out the spot, I'll try to get to it this week.

Old Spot: Fairview Ave. up in the Hayward hills. I'm not sure if there is a name for this exact location, but there really is a dead Iroquois (Bell "Iroquois" UH-1 military helicopter) on the other side if the fence.

In keeping with the theme and also current East Bay events, here is the New Spot. (a word of caution/hint: it is usually okay to pull off and park anywhere on this road, however, because of current activity at this specific location there is temporary no parking for a short stretch of the road. I was able to park just at the end of the no parking zone and push my bike a few feet closer to get the best angle for the photo.)
