Dude slipped on a manhole

Manhole Cover. I pulled up to this T intersection and there's a pristine F3 waiting to go left. The roundish guy is wearing Tshirt, reg. jeans and shoes. He goes to make the turn and the back end kicked out - he put his foot out and kept it upright... so beware :teeth

My first noob scare was with slippery cross walk paint. Didn't go down but valuable lesson learned!

Mine was on a Muni track. They still kind of give me the willies, but that's because Muni trains tend to follow them.

Muni tracks too? Man... I guess I will have to wheelie over manholes, tracks, paint... oh, and whenever it is raining.

In Long Beach there have been over 50 manhole covers stolen this year. The absence of one of those would be a brutal thing to roll over/into.

That sucks that he slipped, thats cool that he kept it up. But what exactly was the point of telling barf what he was wearing?

But it's so fun to get it all wiggly! :laughing :laughing

Exactly, I dip the clutch right before I hit them just to spin the back end up over the manhole covers on purpose. Same with tar snakes, thick paint lines, cardboard, metal plates, railroad crossings, and anything else that I can use in a video-game fashion to make my riding experience more grin inducing.

Plus, practice how you play. The more you goof off and get the bike loose and slightly out of control under you -on purpose- on a regular basis, the far less likely you are to panic and over react when it does it suddenly and unexpectedly.

Try locking up your front wheel over the next manhole cover you come across in a straight line, that's good for a giggle or two. Keep that weight off the bars!
