Hi BARF -
Posting another project up to help fund my motor build on the other bike. I'm not as 'motivated' to sell this, but could use the cash and space.
This was planned as another 'air cooled superbike' build, intended to be a street bike. 80hp and 350 pounds wet.
It's a 749 frame, showa front end, and cast swingarm with Ohlins shock. The motor is from a 900SS (fuel injected) with the V2 heads.
I have everything needed to make it run - throttle bodies, ECU, gauge cluster, wiring harness, coil packs and wires, switches. And I have an extra 'battery tray' that I made out of aluminum that I can throw in as well. The motor only has a couple thousand miles on it - looks brand new.
The big items that need to be made are:
1) the exhaust - I can give you some pointers on how I made the exhaust on the other bike - not that complicated: just piece the bend sections together and either blue tape to hold them together or tack them on the bike - then finish weld (yourself or take to a professional)
2) the subframe depending on whether you want to use a 848 tank or just throw on a 749 / 999 tank (which would make it simpler, can just use a standard 749 / 999 subframe)
The motor is already in and it's a roller - makes it easy to build around. I have the title (it's originally a lemon law buyback 749). The title is signed in my name and I didn't register the bike yet, so will have to use the DMV title transfer form instead.
Asking $2,000 for the roller and parts listed above. Solid deal for someone to get a head start instead of buying all the parts and putting the roller together.
Extras that I can also include: white 848 tank with fuel pump (+$150) and Hypermotard front fender and headlight (+$250) - original plan was to use those and put dirt bars on it. The ultimate Hooligan bike.
