Does anyone sell Grip Puppies locally?

My husband just bought the* new 2019 CB1000R, and as much as he’s enjoying his new ride, he repeatedly complained of hand pain during our 140-mile break-in ride today. So clearly he needs Grip Puppies, which he had on his old SV.

All my bikes for the past 13 years have also had Grip Puppies. I used to get them at California Sport Touring in Hercules, but they’re long gone. :rip I bought my latest 2 sets on Amazon, most recently in February, but now the only sellers are overseas - so instead of costing $20, they cost almost $40.

Does anyone in the U.S. sell these anymore? Or does anyone have a spare set they’d like to sell?

* The only one available in the entire western U.S., as far as I could tell.

You might try heavy bar end weights. They worked great on my GSXR, quelling that I4 buzz.

Rolls with it...
I use grip tape for tennis racquets/golf clubs...

If only I had a photo of my handlebars. :laughing

What luck:

Those never last and they get very gross very fast.

Totally agree, but hadda ftfy.
I had them on a 1978 KZ650 project I restored. They looked sharp as hell....for about 15 minutes.
They've been available for a long time though. Also (and I realize they're a completely different animal) but whenever I see them the pudgy-in-the-middle "Pulse Grips" come immediately to mind. Remember those? They kinda looked like the fuel bulb you squeeze in-line on outboard boat engines. I still see them on a lot of old Hondas, particularly CB550s. They may well have been the stock grips on those things.
Sorry, threadjack is over. Please continue to your regularly scheduled program.

I used fishing rod grip heat shrink. Can get 4 feet on ebay for about $14. Works great and you can layer it to add thickness if you want.

Just search for X-Tube Heat Shrink Wrap. I chose 40mm for my grips and it was an easy fix for mine when they started to deteriorate.

Huh, I searched for "X-Tube" and got something else entirely. :teeth

But anyhoo, I've ordered the Grip Puppies from the UK (expensive though they are), and might pick up an extra pair in San Jose. They do wear out after 25-30K miles in my experience.

That listing wasn't there yesterday! Instead I paid $20 for the grips and an additional $17 for shipping (from the UK) and tax.
