Yes i know it isn't quite a Supermoto but non the less, it's got Supermoto in it's DNA.
Been working on this for about 5 months and just finished it up, save for a few little things. It's an absolute blast to ride and does everything i knew it would. But I built it to sell so after only about 25 miles to break in the new motor, it's time to pass it on to someone else.
What started life as a completely clapped out plated '94 xr600 Honda is now a pretty cool little scoot if I do say so myself.
Sorry i don't have any pics of the build but here is a little list of just some of the things it has and things I've done. This does not include all the machining and fab work that went into it, I.E. forks, wheels, spacers, fuel tank etc.
Motor completely gone through (new crank, rod, bearings, rockers, hot cam, Wiseco piston, etc.) 620cc
Super moto wheels red with blue hub rear and the opposite for the front, i get a lot of compliments on them (5" rear and 3.5" front)
Suspension lowered (stock shock revolved and lowered) i weight about 170lbs
320mm EBC front rotor with modern tokico front caliper (from Suzuki rmz450)
'07 CRF 450 front end (set up for flat track so it's fairly stiff)
Fuel tank is from a '82 xr200 that I welded tabs to mount to the stock holes
Seat is a modified Harley XR750 replica
Frame has a new raised seat pan and was stripped and painted to match blue wheel.
The list goes on and on...
Things you may want to change as i have run out of money and time...
Uses stock air filter (wanted to buy K&N)
Needs longer de-compression cable as the bars are too tall for the stock one
(to start I just reach over and manually pull the lever, no big deal and starts usually on the first or second kick every time)
It wasn't cheap but worth every penny when she's rolling. To replicate this bike would probably cost someone over $6k. I did all the work myself and am really happy with the way it turned out. This one of a kind bike is completely street legal, registered and ready to go.
