CRG continous carbon brake lever

so the adjuster on my brake lever got stuck and I can't get it to release... I recently got new brake pads in so I'm guessing that the technician probably went a little bit over on tightening the know when doing the adjustment... I'm afraid of grabbing some pliers and braking the adjuster screw altogether.. any ideas?

It's this model of CRG lever with the red adjuster knob.

the know has a small allen and if I take that out the knob comes out but that's it, the actual screw is exposed so here's where I was thinking about the pliers...

send it back. The tech really shouldn't need to adjust it at all since both of them are hydraulic.

Kudos to the Customer Service folks @ CRG, just got a call from them and they are going to take a look at it for me! I thought I was already down another $150!
