Corkscrew was BUSY

RT_Russ

Half Fast at best......
I worked WSBK races at Laguna Seca along with several other BARF'ers but was busy enough that I didn't get to meet everyone. What a wild experience. USARM was the group that worked the turns. We had to join the organization in order to be a volunteer. The membership fee was deducted from our pay, yes we got paid $70/day. At times it was chaotic and unorganized but to their credit, they did not get enough volunteers. Hence the ROTC kids that "helped out".

Friday I was a flagger in Turn 4. Saturday/Sunday I was a handler at the exit of the Corkscrew along with another BARF'er KMPorter473. That's us at 0:20 and again at 0:45 as we got out to recover a bike after a crash. I think we recovered 9 bikes over the 2 days.

We were fed well, there was beer at the end of each day and as someone else said in another post, there was a taco truck Saturday evening and more beer. The pay I received covered the diesel fuel I burned up pulling my 5th wheel down and back.

It was an exciting experience and I would certainly do it again. :teeth

Not as fast as I look.
You forgot the Marquez pass. Rossi tried to block going off track, but MM already knew what to expect. I watched MM practice this move that weekend.
