copying Xbox hdd

I need to copy all of the contents on a hard drive to another.
What would be the best course of action??

oh, its for a buddy that wants to mod is xbox and wants what I have on mine. So, I will be copying all of my stuff onto a new hdd and pluging it into his xbox. Would this work? Or would there be an issue if his xbox was modded using a different mod chip/method?

once u mod it you should be able to use a Network program on the XBOX and just transfer all the things.. now modding to be able to do that.. i dont know.

i know once my buddy got his modded i gave him all my copies off my xbox by a network proggie
