I'm no expert but it seemed to me that the rider with the camera was able to corner faster than the rider in front of him, so maybe the first mistake was being behind the slower rider.

Both riders lack skill - the first is breaking abruptly mid-corner and runs wide for NO good reason. The camera guy fixates completely on the lead's tail and then ALSO runs wide and off for no reason.

Bad mojo.
