Just talked with Gerry Carr (Chris's dad). Chris will run both the BUD Meet Aug 25th to 29th and the Cook's meet Sept 12th to 16th. Bub meet to get used to the bike again and if he sets a record there he will defend it at the Cook's meet.

The Cooks meet should be good with three bikes entered that have a genuine shot at 400 mph. Chris Carr in the Bub 7; Rocky Robinson in the Top 1 Ack Attack and Sam Wheeler in the EZ Hook.

The following from Don Emde's FB page:
I don't think you could find three better riders/drivers on the salt than Chris, Sam and Rocky, so it should be interesting to see who can put the power down to get over the 400 mph barrier.

while discussing his final LSR attempt at a previous BUB's meet, Chris said something both obvious & profound:

there is NO way to practice for a 300+ mph LSR run -
you strap yourself in & man up.......

Not as fast as I look.
I could do a lot with a 3000cc engine .......... in a car. Do you think this vehicle might be a tad radical since they worry about longevity for two runs?
