Chicken Wings: Favorite Wing Restaurant

Figured I'd keep the theme going with a poll to see whose wings everyone likes. I'm pretty picky about mine- I like them fried hard and lightly sauced- and most of your average wing offerings don't do it for me.

So, BARF, whose wings are your favorite?

Wingstop has been super consistent for me. Long time ago, it was BWW but their wings are freakishly huge and I can't stand being inside one anymore (screen to person ratio is 10:1).

I made the pilgrimage to Anchor Bar in Buffalo. Nice to get them from the source buuuuuut, just okay. Maybe it was because I was in Buffalo :dunno

Seriously, I had a love affair with BonChon's wings, but since Von's opened their location in Redwood City- I have kicked BonChons to the curb. I never get my wings sauced, no matter where I buy them, except for BonChon, I like their garlic sauced wings. When you order from Vons- get the Crispy Wings w/o sauce, they are like crack. I normally hate those funky sides that the KFC places give you; the weird radish and nasty coleslaw. I do LOVE that little green onion salad stuff from Vons- that stuff is amazing!!!

By a long ways the best wings I've ever had were from a Korean restaurant in Queens called The Coop. They specialize in their "KFC" (Korean Fried Chicken). Stupid good.

Of the wings spots on the list that I’ve tried, I’d go with BWW or Wing Stop. I don’t have most of the stuff on that list near me.

At BWW, I like the Jamaican Jerk, Thai Curry, or Mango Habanero.

At WingStop, I like the OG Hot or the Mango Habanero.

I like the Buffalo Sauce at Mountain Mike’s, but the actual meat isn’t very good.

Smoke Eaters (formerly known as University Chicken) (formerly known as Cluck U) is by far the best wings i have ever had. :drool

I like spicy food. Their Tradition Death wings with RANCH is spot on! :thumbup
