2020 is insane fun for me.
The battle for the Championship is so fricking close.
At some point Marques will be back to stick his nose into the podium battles and affect the outcome.

Highlights.
A rookie winning on a KTM!
A second year man winning on a Satellite KTM!
A second year man winning on a Satellite Yamaha!
A second year man is the only dude to win two races and on a Satellite Yamaha too.
A second year man is now the #1 Suzuki rider and has a legit shot at the championship.
A second year man is the consistently the fastest Ducati Rider.
Expected fast guys have had their ups and downs.
Lap records going down.

The new kids on the block are awesome and showing they belong and will be players for years. Should help a lot when we see the vacuum from Valentino’s departure in 2026 :p

So. The points battle.
No code has to be inserted here.

The top 4 are so tight in points. This is going to be fun couple months for race fans. Me :teeth

The next 6 are close too for the 5th spot but while a championship is not likely it is not completely out of reach either.

I love how the announcers are just blown away at the drama and surprises this year. I am too. The best thing about this fucked up 2020 is MotoGP for me.

So who ya picking to win???

New kid on the block?
Old and wise?
Not new and not old?
A surprise from the second group?

Tito?

Whatever that means
Hard to guess this early on but I'm gonna bet on Mir. He has been having great race pace and seems to have the hunger and drive. If he sorts his qualifying he's golden

I'm a huge Oliveira fan but the guy cannot seem to sort his qualifying out all too well. He seems to be a race day guy along with Mir Rossi and rins.

The yamaha boys might have mechanical woes later one so I'm giving them all side eye

Pecco seems to have found some rythm with the duc while dovi has found out how to not crash consistently.

Jack has too much bad luck and no race distance pace

This has been one of the most interesting race seasons in a long time. It's been my second silver lining of 2020.

Not another Mike
I'm gonna go with Viñales for the 'ship, but I'd really love it if it turned out to be one of the new guys.

This season has been amazing.

My theory is that the new Michelin tires have turned things upside down and the older-school riders who "should" be winning in 93's absence are struggling to unlearn old tricks, and the new guard of riders are able to adapt more quickly because they don't have the same muscle memory to re-program.

It "should" be Dovi who wins given his pedigree and string of 2nd place finishes to 93, and what a story that would be as he exits. But I think it's gonna be one of the young guns, and Mir seems to be building momentum so I'll go with him.

And @R3DS!X, I'm right there with you... our baby girl is #1 silver lining of the year but this MotoGP season is 2nd. I also find myself gravitating to Oliveira as one of my faves, I love his racing style and the fight he has in him, and that double-overtake he made to take the win was an instant classic.

I think Mav has turned a corner and we will see him stay up front and battle.

Dovi winning would be great for this generations Randy Mamola... hope he does it and if he does not I am happy with whomever really because all in the top ten have a really interesting story this year and if from the bottom 6 of the top ten it will make it even more so.

I must have bad body odor. :laughing

Nah, probably more due to the answer being tough to come up with. I've only been watching since 2003 but I don't recall it ever being this wide open with so many riders having a legitimate shot at winning the title.

You left off the winner Binder is capable of getting red hot and running away with it. Fabio is my choice but Mir is hot and Dovi could be the man without winning another race.

KTM champion winner and not a RC16 in sight to sell could happen.

I'm betting that Dovi will sort things out enough to be more consistent than the others for the rest of the season. I never paid much attention to Mir before this year, and his riding style and personality have made me a fan - but its asking a lot for him to pull off winning the ship.

I did leave off Binder. Chose top ten although he is only 4 points off the top ten.

4 points.... where did I see that? :laughing

He has shown stunning speed and I love his whole game.
He is not consistent yet. Rookie. He will get better and it should not take long.
It would be awesome to see him clean up and do it.

Now or never for Dovi. He knows it. I hope he does because... his heart and soul has been in this for so long. Respectful professional racer. Tough when needed.
Mucho respect.

I doubt he sees a top tier ride again unless... Suzuki steps up and does a Satellite team. Where did I see that too? :p

I thought about making the poll public. Glad I did not. Would have been 2 voters. :laughing

I'm going rogue and saying Crutchlow, with Bayliss as a close second choice. Seems anything is possible during this championship! :laughing

Steee-riiike!
I like him but if Dovi doesn't win it, there's really no more excuses. dude's cruising around in 6th place with one win on the season, and the 'ship is basically being handed to him.

Mav has what, one engine left?

Tires!
I’m fortunate to have plenty of time to formulate my Ezpeleta Tire Conspiracy! I’m guessing that race tires are inspected and scanned to reveal super subtle differences in construction and Carmelo decides who gets the best and worst. He’s practicing a sort of tough love being aware that his Spanish hero has brought a race for 2nd to the series.
No facts or mask shaming will deter my course of action with this theory.:twofinger

Zoinks!!!!
This next race will be my deciding race. If Dovi can at least finish on the podium, it’s his. If not, I’m going with Mir.
