Who has access to this? I am trying to find out what my pickup is worth since it looks like insurance is going to total it out due to the frame being bent when I got rear ended.:( I can pass vin via IM. Thank you in advance. Insurance said they look at what my truck is selling for within a 60mile radius. problem is there are none, I would just like to be informed as its an insurance co and they get paid to do things at the lowest possible rate.

Thanks in advance.

(KBB + NADA) / 2 +15%

Also...You can post some CL ads asking for $$$$ for similar vehicle so when they research it they will see what the "market value" is.

NADA = $5625
KBB = $4572
Edmonds = $4185

so here is the next question. nothing close to me, and everything I found with same features as my truck have with under 150K on the odometer are well over $5600 that nada shows. what would your recommendation be here?

I'd argue with insurance company that to replace the vehicle with a similar vehicle it would cost that $7-9K and that the KBB doesn't reflect the current market demand and cost. Also, insurance will have to cough up cost of taxes, registration in additional to vehicle cost. I'd argue it'll be a minimum of $7k to replace +15% (to cover TTL).

Reference those ads if they argue otherwise. State that you demand to be made "whole" which means covering the cost to replace it with a similar year, features, mileage vehicle plus the costs to obtain the vehicle (the TTL). They have an algorithm to calculate cost difference based on mileage. It never amounts to greater than $500 difference from my experience unless its larger than a 50K mileage difference.
