Rum!!! sometimes vodka. sometimes both!!

Watch out for that Ambien stuff. People get really addicted to it. Was probably designed that way.

Dude at work swears weed oil is the trick, he takes it every night. Not sure how safe that is if your job drug tests.
I ate a lot of hot wings just before bed and here I am posting on barf in the am so put that on the list of things not to do.

Watch TV, if I'm really up, I'll play a video game.

I know all about that "screen time keeps you awake", but typically when I can't sleep, it's because my mind is off doing it's own thing, so I need to shut it up with distraction, and reading takes too much energy.

So, I watch TV.

Also, notably, if I can't get to sleep in 15m, I get back up. I won't just lay there.

I have not tried that, good idea. His voice is very soothing, "we will place a happy little tree right here" :laughing

I started out using guided meditation off of YouTube. Work also gives me a free subscription to the headspace app. After practicing for a couple of years I can pretty much sit and meditate by myself, but it did take some time to get to that point. The key is to focus on your breathing.

With everything that is going on during the day these days, it feels like a treat to sit and think of nothing for a couple of minutes. :laughing

Any edible with 5mg THC. Not enough to get you high or leave any lasting effects. Just enough to make your mind wander off into dreamland.

If the insomnia is happening on the regular something else is up that you need to deal with. Aint no amount of external substance gonna help work that out.

I don't have any trouble falling asleep but I wake up at 2 or 3am and then can't get back to sleep. I've been taking melatonin just before I go to sleep for a couple of months. I started at 2 mg and have worked up to 4mg. It hasn't done a thing for me.
