Today in TMI with Koi:

Had dinner with friends last night. Chili, wine, scotch.

Throughout the night I felt like I was going to be sick. Chills and sweats, dizzy feeling. You know, like you normally feel when you get food poisoning?

Except it wasn't pooping that happened but repeated trips to take a leak?

And not just what I had consumed that night, but every fluid consumed for 5 years seemed to be ready to vacate the premises.

I swear, gallons of urine. I'm probably under my goal weight after last night just in water weight lost.



So....


Can you get diarrhea of the dick???

Most probably a UTI. Most guys don't get it because we have external plumbing. You're one of the lucky ones. :twofinger

My oh my, what a sight to watch, ate some dinner someone just botched.


Ah, just a passing moment but if your wee is full of pee right now, drink some cranberry juice and keep flushing the pipes.

Not to say it isn't but I'm not so sure a UTI makes you dizzy. Bad food will and also give you the other symptoms.

That has happened to me. I typically find that it's something I eat and my body is purging it (msg or other salt stuff).

Your kidneys are working, usually to filter out the food poisoning toxins.

Electrolyte water is a good idea if whizzing that much.

Peeing a lot can be from many different causes. UTI would likely cause frequent but low volume voiding. Also may hurt or smell bad or be cloudy. If it's a lot of dilute (ie pale) urine, then you are diuresing for some reason. A very salty meal that makes you drink a lot would cause a diuresis to follow. Could be that. If you're not feeling well though, and it continues for more than a day, you should get checked out - other rarer causes should be looked into.

I would get checked, sounds like an infection to me if it is still going.

I just remembered that these symptoms can happen when a guy has sex with a woman who has a yeast infection. Don't know if that was the case, but just throwing it out there in case that was the cause. Also, PIITB can lead to UTI.

just an FYI, there is not enough electrolytes in Smart Water for it to be considered a replacement. Electrolytes are only added for flavor...

pedialyte is a much better option

it's funny how everyone thinks it's just for babies but they've been soft advertising as a hangover "cure" (my word not theirs) for a while now

All too true, and too often skipped over in health class.

Though I despise the taste of Pedialyte I do drink it when I get the flu.

For me, Smart Water and sugar/sweetener-free cranberry juice work fine for kidney and bladder issues. Avoiding liquor helps, too.
