Can I borrow an Electromagnetic Radiation Tester for house with metal tower behind?

Hi Barf,

I am planning to make an offer for a house that has a metal tower 10-15 yards from the house back yard. I would like to borrow a tester to measure the magnetic fields number and I can leave deposit for borrowing. Thank you!

probably get more EMF from talking on a cell phone than a transmission tower a few yards away. EMF drops off a the square of the distance and a cell phone is basically an FM transmitter.

And even though the power in those lines is 10's or 100's of KV, it's only at 60hz. That is an extremely long radio wave that does nothing to flesh. The only way those wires will hurt you is if you get too close to them.

If it doesn't light a florescent tube, you're good to go. Visited a 50 KW AM broadcast facility once and none of the tubes would turn off.

The buzzing would be a consideration to me but then I live in a city and hear the whine of tires 24/7.

I know people who won't use wireless headphones because of "radiation". One dude who was a fucking MEDICAL DOCTOR was considering turning off Wifi in his house.

You get ridiculous amounts of radio waves just existing.

It was up in Canada but 50KW is not uncommon. KCBS is 50 KW and is located next to Gnoss Field in Novato. In the days before GPS, it would sometimes get you home from the Oregon border.

I could pick up KGO no problem when I lived in southeastern Washington

Imagine getting hit with these radio waves :laughing
